We focus on preclinical and early-stage clinical drug development for chronic ailments.
Nutriwyo LLC was founded in 2014 by Dr. Rama (Rema) Nair with the mission to change people’s lives.
Area 1
Preclinical & Clinical Research Organization
We serve the health and nutraceutical industry by validating the structure function claims for diverse nutraceuticals, natural products, dietary supplements, sports nutrients, functional foods, wellness products and medical devices.
Area 2
Research and Development
of Novel Therapeutics
A major complication of diabetes is diabetic foot ulcer which afflicts about ~1.6 million people in the United States. Diabetic foot ulcer is the major cause of amputations in the US. The annual cost of treating diabetic foot ulcers is ~15 billion.
Nevertheless, there is a paucity of effective drugs to treat diabetic foot ulcer. Nutriwyo’s major research focus is to develop new therapeutics to treat diabetic foot ulcer. To this end, we are developing a novel pharmacological strategy to treat non-healing wounds. Our preliminary preclinical studies have provided encouraging results. Nutriwyo recently received a Phase-1 STTR grant from NIH-NIDDK to further this technology.
